Emily became a Certified Speech Pathologist in 2018 after graduating from Australian Catholic University. She has experience working across a range of settings including schools, private practice, hospitals, and aged care.
Emily is dedicated to empowering her clients through a client-centred and holistic approach, prioritising each individual’s goals while ensuring families, carers, and other professionals feel informed and involved in the therapeutic process.
Emily has experience supporting children and adults with a wide range of communication and swallowing needs, including speech sound disorders, language and literacy difficulties, stuttering, voice concerns, and feeding and swallowing difficulties. She also works with individuals experiencing motor speech disorders, cognitive-communication changes, neurological conditions, and neurodivergent communication styles.
Emily has a particular interest in paediatric speech and feeding therapy, as well as supporting functional communication and swallowing across the lifespan, helping individuals communicate effectively and participate safely in everyday activities at home, school, work, and within the community.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring fashion, and continuing to learn in areas of interest such as lactation consultancy and Auslan (Australian Sign Language).
